Nevertheless, game designers tried to keep to the adopted strategy from the very beginning – it was supposed that the aircraft carriers would move behind the main line of the battleships. Meanwhile, the GD team had bad luck from the very beginning - because of the failure with a graphic card, the chief battleship was AFK. The torpedo-boat destroyer, having noticed the attackers had to change the attack axis simultaneously revealing its vulnerable parts to the enemy guns, hoping that the reconnaissance would finally detect anything more significant than just "finding oneself under antiaircraft fire." It seemed that the plan of cunning Quality Assurance staff with “sending boat seaplanes as if from the west” to the side of the major attack axis, was a success. It moved to the eastern island but it moved too far so that to be able to find the cover from the enemy fire. In order to compensate that weak spot, one of the scouts in QA team was sent along the island - and what imperial luck! He detected one torpedo-boat destroyer belonging to GD. That was the Achilles heel in the plan of QA team – the opponent, being in the “shade” of the island and hiding from the main forces, could send the tactical squadron, which would meet and destroy the aircraft carriers. The aircraft carriers under the cover of the smoke screen, battleships and the big island, went to the east. The battleships initiated the air reconnaissance, the light ships put the smoke screen and moved to the eastern part of the strait with a view to detect, attack and cover the deployment of battle forces. The plan of the QA team was plain: having conducted the air reconnaissance, deliver a torpedo, artillery and aviation attack in the narrow sector from the cover of the light ships, keeping the aircraft carriers a bit away.

GD: 2 aircraft carriers, 4 battleships, 2 heavy cruisers, 1 destroyer. QA: 2 aircraft carriers, 4 battleships, 2 heavy cruisers, 1 destroyer. Or in other, “to take the strait under control, destroy the enemy forces.” Islands, covered with green vegetation and the target behind them, which is Kattegat, are seen from the long distance. However, one team starts from the South, another from the North. Grey clouds with some sun beams cutting through and the deep ocean green. The surroundings were perfect for the map name.
THE 3 BATTLES IN MIN HERO 2 2 CODE
The teams played on the map with a code name North. It is interesting that the Zuikaku enjoyed more popularity than the Essex. There could have been more participants in each team but in that case the opponents would appear in unequal situation because the QA team would have to sit in one room and game designers would have to split into two parts.Īll types of ships were introduced from the both sides in different ratio - cruisers and destroyers, battleships and aircraft carriers. The battle results between the participants were strictly censored therefore, there won’t be any leaks. However, it took little time for the game designers to recover from shock they drew the conclusions and are now getting ready for the revenge. The battle ended with a score two to nothing QA surprisingly stopped acting like newbies and showed GD the way they can actually play.

There was no need play three games - the Game Designers were forced to surrender after two defeats. We’ve invited 4 independent observers from different departments - 2 for GD and 2 for QA.
